Program Description
Designed to train a new generation of leaders in the field, the MSc Diagnostic Imaging program will give students new insight into current and best practice – and train them to create real and meaningful change. Students will develop advanced critical thinking skills, synthesise evidence from a range of research and other sources and build on industry knowledge and clinical experience to inform professional discussion and debate.
As a part of GCU’s thriving and diverse academic community, students will not only prepare for a successful career but use what they learn to advance the field and contribute to the common good.
Students can choose between studying the broad-based MSc Diagnostic Imaging program or an optional pathway specific to their area of practice.
Optional pathways
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Increase understanding of MRI theory and practice with this professional development opportunity, which includes supervised placements.
- Medical Ultrasound: Use state-of-the-art simulation facilities and sonographic equipment to gain new insight into the clinical applications of medical ultrasound. Students will rehearse practical scanning skills and get valuable feedback from experts in the field.
- Computed Tomography: Increase understanding of the theory and practice of CT with this development opportunity, which includes supervised placement.
