Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Psychology with Counselling
Program Description
The BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling degree combines psychology with integrative approaches to counselling, including person-centred and compassion-focused approaches. You’ll be introduced to a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive, behavioural and person-centred approaches, before specialising in integrative approaches.
This is not a professional integrative counselling course (please see our BA (Hons) Counselling and Therapeutic Practice). Our BPS-accredited Psychology with Counselling degree is an excellent foundation if you are considering a career in the social care sector. Graduates can build careers in clinical and counselling psychology in particular, after postgraduate experience and possibly Masters-level study.
A key element is the hands-on experience you’ll gain throughout your studies. You’ll be offered clinical experience on campus and have access to a range of exciting opportunities, including completion of specialist short courses, professional certificates and work placements – another great boost to your CV.
