Master of Arts - Film (Cinematography)
The MA Film course provides a strong general grounding in the needs of the contemporary British Film and Television industry with opportunities to develop and hone key skills via multiple pathways that lead directly different career opportunities. The Cinematography Pathway is designed specifically for students who wish to combine a broader education in the film and TV industry and general film making skills with building their cinematography portfolio and skills.
Teaching involves a mix of workshops, seminars, lectures and tutorials, as well as guest lectures and masterclasses from industry professionals. Students will collaborate with fellow students from across the course and Faculty of Creative Industries on a short film. They also have the opportunity to undertake a four-week, in-depth placement with a key Wales-based production company.
Students at USW Cardiff Campus benefit from industry-standard equipment, software and studio and production facilities. There is an on-site cinema, that is available to students to screen their work.
