Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Geography (Placement Year)
On this Bachelor of Arts Geography course, students will begin with a broad geographical foundation that introduces them to social, physical and environmental geographies. They will go on to develop understanding in, and the ability to analyse key global challenges, such as Forced Climate Migration, Food Poverty, Geopolitics and Governance.
The modules cover everything from globalisation and neoliberalism to sustainable communities and food geographies. Bangor University will introduce students to a range of research methods and IT, GIS, and statistical skills. They will develop professional and transferrable skills that employers value.
During students' final year they will conduct their own research under staff guidance, allowing them to showcase their abilities developed throughout their studies. Field work is an integral part of this degree, and there will be lots of opportunity to get outside and learn valuable skills in/around North Wales, alongside residential trips in the UK and Europe.
