Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - History and Archaeology (Placement Year)
In Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - History and Archaeology (Placement Year), History and Archaeology are complementary subjects that together inform wide-ranging interpretations of the past. From early Prehistory to the recent past, students will be able to choose from topics covering aspects of the history and archaeology of Wales, Britain, Europe and the wider world. Through study of both documentary sources and material culture they will explore political, social and cultural aspects of the past and develop practical and transferable skills.
During the first year students will develop a strong foundation in both disciplines. For the remainder of the degree they will further develop these skills, whilst increasing the breadth and depth of their knowledge in the subject areas, culminating in working towards producing specialised work in the final year.
