Students can combine the Toronto Film School Writing for Film & TV Diploma + Yorkville University Bachelor of Creative Arts dual degree pathway to receive both a creative arts diploma and creative arts degree at the end of their studies!
Program Description
A $29,500 bursary is currently available to successful applicants. This bursary is exclusive to applicants through ApplyBoard! (May not apply to all regions)
The Toronto Film School Writing for Film & TV program is designed to replicate the process and environment of the film and television industry. Classrooms are styled after industry writing rooms with collaborative story sessions. Students will learn how to pitch, write, produce and edit for all formats of film and television, including sitcoms, one-hour dramas, TV movies, feature films, new media, documentaries, broadcasts, news, commercials and PSA’s, and factual entertainment. Students will also have the unique opportunity to bring their original scripts to life as film and TV productions, collaborating in cross-industry teams with students in film production, acting and video game design.
Extend the diploma with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree
Students can combine their creative talents with the advanced business and leadership skills needed to succeed in their chosen creative industry with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Yorkville University.
Designed for students who already have a specialized diploma in the creative arts, the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree program from Yorkville University complements students' creativity with the advanced business and leadership skills they need to succeed in the creative arts industries.
Students can gain a complete understanding of their chosen creative industry, including talent management, project budgeting, financial planning, and more.
*Complete the BCA program in as few as 15 months for domestic students and 2 years for international students. With full course load, year-round study and/or approved transfer credits. Applicants are encouraged to contact an Admissions Advisor.
How the Bursary Works
- The $19,500 Yorkville Bursary will be applied over the two years of their BCA program, and the $10,000 ApplyBoard bursary will be applied across the entire four years of the TFS + BCA terms of study
- The bursary amount shown below is for illustrative purposes only. The actual per term bursary amount is calculated based on the number of courses a student is enrolled in.
