The Master of Science in Athletic Training program is designed to prepare students for a career as a certified athletic trainer, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries. Completion of undergraduate-level courses in human anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and basic psychology. Clinical Experience: Some programs may require a certain amount of clinical hours or practical experience in a sports or healthcare setting prior to admission. Standardized Tests: Some institutions may require GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) scores for admission, though this can vary. The GRE may focus on general knowledge, but some schools might waive this requirement based on academic performance or relevant experience. Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with athletes, patients, and healthcare professionals.
