Prospective students must meet specific prerequisites to be considered for admission: General Education Courses: ENG 143: College Composition (3 credit hours): Focuses on intensive training in methods of exposition and research, leading to the ability to write coherent, clear, and persuasive essays. HUM 203: Humanities Seminar (3 credit hours): Introduces students to the study of humanities, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills through the exploration of various cultural and historical topics. SP 203: Effective Speaking (3 credit hours) or COM 163: Interpersonal Communication (3 credit hours): Enhances oral communication skills, essential for effective teaching and classroom management. Note: A grade of "C" or higher is required in each of these courses to be eligible for the education program. TRINE UNIVERSITY Additional Requirements: Grade Point Average (GPA): A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Criminal Background Check: A background check is required, conducted through CastleBranch. Interview: An interview with the education faculty is part of the admission process.
