Master of Arts - Photography
This programme in photography will encourage students to develop new ways of expressing their concerns in imaginative or innovative ways using lens-based and related media. They will develop their authorship of advanced studio work, establish a rigorous connection between practice and theory, and formulate a critical position for their practice.
The Photography course will encourage students to engage with key theories and contemporary debate, demonstrating their potential to influence the development, expression and communication of ideas, and how they can impact upon the success of their future practice as an artist, photographer or researcher.
This postgraduate Photography course is designed for individuals seeking to extend and develop their practice as well as those looking to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
Students will be encouraged to question and interrogate their photographic practice to become autonomous and self-directed, with a trajectory towards progression as a professional practitioner or a future Professional Doctorate.
