Masters in Law (LLM)
The University of Hertfordshire’s LLM Masters in Law is designed for ultimate flexibility and focus, to fit each students' own unique needs, interests and aspirations. Students will study four modules of their choice, from a range of 20 that are on offer (as long as they do not form an already existing pathway). This flexibility will enable them to combine their particular interests and specialisms, to tailor their course according to their dreams and ambitions.
All the modules are taught by specialists in their field, and are supported by up-to-date, cutting-edge research and practice, so students can be sure that their studies will be relevant to their chosen future career. Innovative, active teaching methods and practical, real-world examples will deepen their understanding and equip students with the skills they need to be a real asset to their future employer.
This Programme is validated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for Continuing Professional Development purposes. Moreover, students can gain work experience within University's award-winning pro bono Law Clinic which offers extensive opportunities for client-facing casework.
Students can benefit from University's strong relationships with law firms which include KPMG Law, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Fenchurch Law. Learners will access Law Fairs, employer workshops, and networking events. Graduates have worked in legal roles for organizations including The Met, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Shoosmiths.
