Students who graduate with this specialization will be able to:

  • Conduct effective human resources planning for technological innovations in a global environment;
  • Explain the processes of job analysis, staffing, appraisal and compensation, career training and development;
  • Demonstrate cohesive team-management skills with a focus on group dynamics in an increasingly diverse workforce;
  • Utilize various processes and tools for bargaining, negotiating and resolving disputes;
  • Interpret and apply human resources principles in a global setting; and
  • Evaluate ethical, social, civic, cultural, and political issues as they relate to the environment of human resource management.

The Human Resources Management minor has been rigorously designed to incorporate extensive input from business leaders. It is designed to prepare students to achieve the Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CHRP) designation and for a wide range of rewarding Human Resource Professional roles.
