Master of Arts - Media and Creative Cultures
The Media and Creative Cultures, MA degree explores the latest digital and media research methods and helps students engage with critical materials and cultural developments. They'll not only analyze media, but also create and curate media, assisted by innovative research projects and visits to media institutions across London. Students will also be encouraged to engage with London's pioneering cultural and media scene, with its many festivals, exhibitions, installations, conferences and workshops.
This master's course is the result of several years of research in the fast-developing field of media and creativity. With roots in cultural studies, philosophy, political science, fashion studies, activism, and digital technology, the course offers a comprehensive approach to media in the modern world.
Greenwich's lecturers are engaged in award-winning research projects, and have direct industry connections, which results in hands-on experience with the newest developments in media scene through seminars and workshops.
The Media and Creative Cultures, MA graduates follow a wide range of roles in media and creative industries, both in London and abroad. Some choose to pursue further careers as researchers and academics, continuing into PhD or other research projects. Some takes roles in media or cultural administration, heritage industries, publishing houses, lifestyle magazines, broadcast industries.
Possible career paths include cultural and creative industries development, a variety or media roles, including in social media, freelance research, fundraising for cultural funds, activism, diversity for cultural industries, fashion project, festivals management and a variety of web-based projects.
