About
The University of Essex was founded in the 1960s as an innovative institution to challenge traditional thinking. It is highly ranked in many subjects, giving students the chance to advance their education in a field they love. It offers a beautiful main campus just outside the city of Colchester, which is only 1 hour from London by train. Essex is a hugely international university, with students of 140+ nationalities bringing great diversity of cultures and ideas, creating a truly global campus community.
Opened in 2018, the University of Essex International College is run by Kaplan International Pathways, and offers degree preparation courses in partnership with the University of Essex. These on-campus courses allow students to meet the University’s entry requirements, and progress to a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The College offers customised teaching and support for international students, who’ll also enjoy access to University of Essex facilities from day one. These include academic, sports and social facilities, plus clubs and societies, giving students the full Essex experience.
