Scholarships
We are one of the more affordable study options in Australia. We offer a range of scholarships up to AUD$60,000 depending on your degree and duration of study. This will help reduce your cost of tuition and other study-related expenses.
1. Africa Excellence Scholarship :
This is a merit-based scholarship that recognises applicants with a strong academic background and incentivises them to continue striving to be the best that they can be. - scholarship is valued at AU$10,000
2.ASEAN Excellence Scholarship :
Students eligible for this scholarship will be citizens from ASEAN counties - scholarship is valued as up to AU$50,000*
3.College of International Education International Pathways Scholarship :
This scholarship has been established for students who have completed an applicable pathway program. -scholarship benefit is a 10% fee reduction for each year 4.South Asia Excellence Scholarship : Students eligible for this scholarship will be citizens from South Asian counties - scholarship is valued as up to AU$50,000*

On-campus accommodation :
Student Living is the University of Newcastle'"s award-winning accommodation precinct at Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses. Home to over 1,800 students from all over the world, our nine residences offer a variety of living options. Whether you're looking for your own apartment or a shared room, private or common facilities, if you want to cook for yourself or have your meals served - we've got it all here!
Homestay :
Some families who live near the University offer to host students coming from overseas in their homes for short or long stays. The University arranges each Homestay and ensures that all homes and host families are safe and friendly. In this program, you will enjoy the comforts of home in Australia. Our host families will provide you meals and include you in their lives, plus it's a great opportunity to practice language skills and make new friends.
Off-campus accommodation :
Student Living has an appointed Accommodation Support Officer who can help with the sourcing and securing of safe and appropriate short and long-term off campus accommodation.
A complimentary airport pickup service is available to all commencing University of Newcastle international students and College (CIE) students, arriving onshore for the first time on a student visa. This is a one-off, free service available to everyone who has accepted an offer to study at our Newcastle, Central Coast or Sydney campuses and is part of our international student onboarding process.
