Scholarships
-JCU International Excellence Scholarship - provides a 25% tuition fee reduction for eligible students from North America, Latin America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, PNG and the Middle East
-JCU International Merit Stipend - provides payments of A$400 per fortnight to assist with expenses throughout the duration of study at JCU, for eligible students from Africa -Vice Chancellor's International Student Scholarship The JCU Vice Chancellors International Student Scholarship (partial fee waiver) provides a 50% partial fee waiver for the minimum course duration.
-The JCU Vice Chancellors International Student Scholarship (full fee waiver) provides up to a 100% fee waiver for the minimum course duration.
-JCU Research Scholarships - Highly competitive scholarships are available to students commencing research degrees at Master or Doctoral level.

On-Campus:

Off-campus:
We recommend international students considering living off-campus to arrive at least one week prior to JCU Orientation so they can view properties before signing a lease.
Home stay:
Homestay offers a fantastic introduction to life in a new country for international students. One of the best options for short term and temporary accommodation for students is to spend their first 4 weeks in Australia with a host from an accredited homestay organisation.
Short-term accommodation:
Short term accommodation is available on-campus prior to O-week and the accommodation office and the international support team are able to provide support as required to find suitable long term accommodation
Shared accommodation:
Shared accommodation is a great idea if you want to live independently and want to meet new people. Share accommodation occurs when you either move into a house that is occupied by other people or you agree to rent a property with other people. Sharing a house with other people is a cost effective way to live because you share the costs of living with other people.
An airport arrival service for new students is available.
