- Co-op: University of Regina pioneered the Co-op Work Experience Program in Western Canada and has been committed to it ever since. Students can earn while they learn - typical salaries range from $12,000-$14,000 per semester - as they sample different career choices, work environments, and locations. Students can also participate in internships, field work, practicums and professional placements.
Features
The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience ("co-op"), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.
